1. Who we are

Sam's Flight Club (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a flight deal alert membership service. We help members discover and receive instant alerts about unusually discounted flight fares.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following information:

Account information: name, email address, password (hashed, never stored in plaintext)
Preferences: selected departure airports, travel month preferences, alert settings
Billing information: processed entirely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers
Usage data: pages visited, deals viewed, alerts clicked (via analytics)
Email activity: whether alerts were delivered or opened (via Resend)

3. How we use your data

To send you deal alert emails based on your selected airports
To manage your subscription and process billing via Stripe
To improve the product and detect and fix issues
To send transactional emails (trial start, renewal, cancellation)

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Email communications

We send deal alerts, trial reminders, and billing notifications. You can disable deal alert emails from your account settings at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Important: unsubscribing from deal alert emails does not cancel your subscription. To cancel your subscription, visit your account billing settings.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase: authentication and database hosting
Stripe: payment processing and subscription management
Resend: transactional email delivery
Vercel: hosting and deployment
PostHog: product analytics (anonymized where possible)

Each third party has their own privacy policy governing their use of data.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Withdraw consent for email communications at any time
